Shibori Kimono

Antique silk shibori kimono. In this shibori technique, small bits of fabric are wrapped and tied around the tip of a fine pointed tool.  When dyed and the bound sections releases, a fine design and puckered appearance remain. A beautiful, painterly piece and a wonderful mate for other chinoiserie pillows.
