Medallions Kimono
Delicate kimono patterns like this are generally created by stretching the silk, painting it with a soybean sizing and then block printing the pattern details. This pattern was painted by hand rather than blocked after the silk was dyed. It's truly amazing- no two motifs are exactly the same. Backed in our heavy Belgian linen.
